Club meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30PM in the Spain Inn. There is no meeting in February.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2012.

For this meeting, we're going to try something new, John Yavorski will lead a discussion of New SCUBA Gear. Included in the presentation:

Nautilus Lifeline, a waterproof VHF/GPS that will enable a lost diver to phone "home" or any boat or Coast Guard in the vicinity with GPS location info.

Bladefish 5000 diver propulsion vehicle with a lithium battery system is unique for its exceptionally light weight (11 pounds), making it practical for travel.

The GoPro Hero2 miniature, water-proof still and video camera. Go to YouTube.com and search for "down2biz" for underwater video filmed by Craig Capehart using this system.

Jim Masters of Ocean Explorers volunteered to provide a wide range of other new gear for this presentation. Examples are lightweight regulators and BC's for travel, deco meters (Uwatek's Galileo Luna) and a BC made for side-mounting tanks.

Camera gear will also be shown, e.g. point and shoot still/video cameras in housings and Sea and Sea systems. Also available will be an Ikelite combo flash/video light.

Have some new gear you want to show off? Bring it on!
